I usually use MemTest86+. After using it on about 50 different sticks of memory I still haven't found one that reports errors?? I wonder if all this memory is really good, or this program isn't testing hard enough?
This program tests as hard as it is possible. You either haven't let it run all the tests or all your memory was fine, really.
I also don't care for the CPU or burn in testers either. I understand that they should be a bit basic, but they are just too vague. I wonder if they actually do anything?
No.. they don't do anything at all. People write them to fool others, and we have nothing better to do than put useless software in UBCD.
If you don't see fancy windows on the screen that doesn't mean it doesn't do anything.
Read the programs' webpages and eventually contact their author for more information on how they work and what they do (maybe it turns out they actually do something).
I did have a processor that registered about 20 errors after an overnight test (can't remember what test I used) but it seems perfectly fine after running more tests, loading Windows onto the system, etc.???
Loading Windows is not at all a demanding test so it's not relevant for stability testing.
