Hi there. I just got a ultimate boot CD and i need to fix our old computer(which won't boot).
The computer is an HP and we haven't used it for a couple years.I have a lot of files such as pics, music, etc.
and i know that they will be deleted if i "wipe" the hard drive(s).
Is there any tool(s) that can save all those files and still fix the computer because they mean a lot to me.
*help i'm very desperate*
All answers will be appreciated.
p.s. i'm new here
Recovering files?

Re: Recovering files?
The reason for your system not to boot could be related to many different things (from MBR, boot sector, battery and many others)
If the HDD works correctly, you could try for example booting into PartedMagic and back up the specific files you are interested in saving into a USB stick, a CD/DVD or similar media.
