Hello,
I have some very basic questions which I didn't find clear solutions to in the tutorials or on the boards. The closest was a youtube, but that was based on UBCD4WIN.
My windows 10 installation is in a BSOD boot loop due to "unmountable boot volume" and I can't repair it with a windows boot cd, neither do I have a recent system image. Also the windows recovery environment isn't giving access to the SSD to use the notepad file explorer option.
I'm able to boot UBCD 8.5.3, but I can't see which options to use. I have 2 queries:
- how do I use UBCD to copy data files from the SSD to an external media?
- are there any tools which can help with the boot problem?
Any assistance would be much appreciated!
Bill

Re: Windows 10 file recovery
You can try booting to PartedMagic and seeing if you can access the files and copy to a USB drive. (You may have to have the USB drive inserted while booting.)
I would boot to a PE environment or Linux Live CD/DVD/USB and copy over the files that way, if I have access to them.
The Windows 10 Forum may be a better place to get help --> https://www.tenforums.com/
Good luck
