USB drive... Not for booting... and Network Printers?

#1 Post by clarjon1 » Thu Mar 29, 2007 4:58 am

Hello all (first post! :D )

Just wondering if there is a dos driver for usb drives, so that I could have access to it? Or a module for the booting Linux? If a system really goes down, I'd like to be able to download certain files/docs with arachne, and have them saved to my USB drive, and how would I get the network printer supported?

under linux (CUPS), tcp printer, tell IP addy, and use driver. Is there something like that for DOS? Can't find anything yet, but I'm still looking.

Thanks!

All the DOS images contain USB drivers. Just make sure you turn it on when the dialog box for the USB driver appears ('cos it is not enabled by default).

Right, so how would I mount my thumbdrive then?

It should mount itself when USB driver is loaded. You just must plug the thumbdrive to USB port BEFORE you are booting your PC.

Ahh, I looked, and didn't see anything like that for the boot for the arachne web browser. Perhaps it could be looked into?
