New versions is out there

#1 Post by MikeyPenguin » Tue Apr 19, 2005 2:03 pm

I like the UBCD, burned it and then found new versions of:

MaxBlast is now at version 4
Astra at version 5.00
Feature tool is 1.97
MemTest86+ is now at 1.55
F-Prot antivir. is now at version 3.16b
clone maxx is 1.00
g4u is 2.0

Diskman 5 is coming

When is the new version of UBCD coming?

A dos registry editor would be nice. There is a screen capture program for Dos as well which I know of.

I found one on the outdated Emergency Boot CD, but AFAIK it only works with Win9x.

Thanks! All these will be updated in the next release of UBCD.

Although Clone Maxx is marked as V1.00, when I actually downloaded and
run it, it shows V0.95. So I am leaving the version number as V0.95.

UBCD should be released very soon (with the next week or so), pending a
couple of minor issues to be resolved.

If you can find a freeware DOS registry editor, feel free to send me the
URL! Otherwise, I think Offline NT Password & Registry Editor will do
the job too.

I found the IMG file however it's not as good as the Offline Editor for several reasons:

It uses MS DOS.
It's old.
The author doesn't have a homepage.

I emailed the author, I'll let you know.

RegCmd (http://the7thlab.mybesthost.com/) is actually a Win32 console
program. It will not run under DOS.
