I'm trying to flash my BIOS and so I need to boot to DOS without Himem (flash utility says it can't boot with himem installed). I also need the CDROM drive to work so I can put the CD with the flash/bios utility on it in there and access it.
I've tried to control the boot process to the dos boot disks included on the UBCD, but whenever I don't allow it to load himem, I can't access the CD. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Two ways
Do it off a floppy if you have one, remember you can access the floppy when you boot off UBCD as it makes A: into B:
Or
Make a floppy image of command.com and the bios update program and rom file and burn to a CDR/W, either integrated into UBCD or using your CD burning program to convert the floppy to a bootable CD.
