Windows 2000/XP Password Removal
I often need to clear the password off machines I get given to me to repair.
Obviously its sometimes a pain when I don't know the password, so I usually use wininternals software to remove it, but I would much rather see this type of utility on this CD. (Note it might be worth looking at some sysinternals freeware to put on this cd)
Does anyone know of a peice of software I could use, that could also possibly make it onto the UBCD.
Thanks.

Offline NT Password and Registry Editor, on the UBCD, has worked
great for me.

This is why I should check before I post :p
Last version I used was 2.4, I don't think it had it.
Cheers.

I tried updating Offline NT Password & Registry Editor to 2007-09-27 version, but apparantly I made an error somewhere so it doesn't run. I tried installing it alongside the 2007-04-09, which is included in UBCD 4.11.
Perhaps someone could instruct me how to replace the old version with the new.

Not working for me.
This is what I'am using. So what am I doing wrong?
MENU LABEL Offline NT Password & Registry Editor 070409
KERNEL boot/VMLINUZ
APPEND rw vga=1 init=/linuxrc initrd=/boot/initrd.cgz,/boot/scsi.cgz

@ grayfox
Your KERNEL line is wrong.
It should be: KERNEL /boot/offline
Normally you shouldn't make the entry for yourself.
Open menus\filesys4.cfg
And correct the version number of the line which states "MENU LABEL Offline NT Password & Registry Editor 070409"
To update Offline NT Password & Registry Editor on UBCD:
1. Download the CD image cd070927.zip.
2. Extract its content using any ISO image tool eg. ISO Buster.
3. Rename "VMLINUZ" to offline and copy it in the boot folder of ubcd (replaces boot\offline).
4. Rename "INITRD.CGZ" to offline.gz and copy it in the boot folder of ubcd (replaces boot\offline.gz).
5. Rename "SCSI.CGZ" to scsi.cgz and copy it in the boot folder of ubcd (replaces boot\scsi.cgz).
6. Rebuild the UBCD ISO image.
