Right. I need to deactivate ahci in order to install xp. ultimate boot cd was recommended for this use, so I've made a perfect example of it. Followed a tutorial, yet, something goes wrong. I've looked at the faqs and browsed around in the forum, yet, I cannot find anyone with the same problem.
Here it is.
The CD is in. I've checked in bios that it'll boot from the cd, excluded the harddrives. Everything should go according to the plan, right? Well. After the usual loading screen where one could press f2 for setup, it'll load the cd but it won't work after this. The burning sequence was with no faults either. It just says(while reading the cd) "ISOLINUX 3.35 2007-01-28 Copyright (C) 1994-2007 H. Peter Anvin" and it just stays like this. I've let it stay like that for about 15 minutes one time, but nothing happened. Is there something extremely dumb I'm doing or is there something I've missed?
I know I've done everything right, so why won't it work?
ubcd 4.1.1. freeze (loading sequence or something)
