Installing a software using UBCD

#1 Post by ivanh1194 » Sat Jun 27, 2009 3:32 pm

Hi all,
I got troubles trying to install Paragon Harddisk manager 8.0 on windows XP SP3 and i'm getting a access denied error. Can you tell me how to rise privileges to the UBCD user default?

Hello there ^^
I'm pretty sure you're talking about UBCD4Win instead of UBCD v4...
Hammerite Compendium of Precepts, Regimens and Rules of Conduct, Vol. 113 :

I think also that you are talking about UBCD4Win. You can't install programs when running from UBCD4Win as it is running from a CD/DVD. You can however use a plugin and one is included with UBCD4Win. Install the Paragon Harddisk Manager on your regular install of Windows and in the plugins section of UBCD4Win go to "Commercial Software" section and highlight the Paragon HD manager entry and click the "Config" button.

You can get further support at the UBCD4win forum. -> http://ubcd4win.com/forum
