I got this message while trying system recovery on a HP Pavilion Entertainment PC, Windows XP. I downloaded Ultimate Boot and tried it, but get the same message. I have the bios set to read the cd first. However in the bios the boot order shows no #1 - just starts with #2 DVD/CD then #3 Notebook Hard Drive. Should I disable #3? Help!

Pressing "esc" on HP computer should allow you to choose a boot device. If that does not work try f1 f3 f10 f12 or delete. One of those will allow you to choose boot device. If none of those allow you to choose a boot device (which I highly doubt will happen) you would move cd/dvd to first and if that doesnt solve your issue after SAVING bios settings, then disable hd boot. You can always re-enable it afterwards.
