unable to run ubcmd-entries from usb

#1 Post by strowi » Wed Oct 14, 2009 11:18 am

hi everybody,

first of all: i have done quite some bootable usb-stick containing linux or other disk-images, so i am not completely new to this stuff...

But testing the latest ubcd50b12 i seem to have some trouble.
Doesn't matter if i test it in kvm or on a real machine...
syslinux works, i get the menu, i also can boot all disk-images.
BUT with boot-entires containing the "ubcmd=*" (like mbrwork) i always get "*.bat not found" after freedos has run and tries to load the application.
Anyone know how this could happen or how to fix it?

greetings,
strowi

Download:
http://localhostr.com/files/638a3d/fdubcd.img.gz

Rename fdubcd.img.gz to fdubcd.igz and replace the file /ubcd/images/fdubcd.igz.

Let me know if it works.

Thanks for testing :D .

If mbrwork did load fine, all other ubcdcmd entries should work alright.

hi,

yes they do;) at least not different than from the iso.
But for the following entries i get errors, probably not related to freedos... i am still
reading up and looking through the code to get more insight how it works...

For now i have only tested the HDD-subemenu:
GWScan5 tells me "Causeway error 09" (probably related to kvm?)
GWScan315 it tells me "missing archive / directory (gwscn315.?)

also photorec and testdisk don't work at all.
But as i already said i am still looking through the files and documentation...

thx for now!

greetings,
strowi
