Yes, it basically only shows two(!) penquins at boot and stops there. When changing sata mode from raid to ide. Boot goes little further. It starts to wait 10 seconds for devices. But that 10 seconds is the last thing it says. Even after 10 minutes. I tried live, alternate video, default and safe settings from that first menu. at safe settings, i can see that this EBP is ok. thats it..

Bios is V17 beta, wich is newest i think. I tried to disable all usb from bios. It does nothing.

As you may know. This mobo has Intel P35/IC9H chipset.

Software boots well on my Ibm T43, wich is kinda odd. Because allmost every other software on cd crashes on boot showing typical error messages for thinkpad.

Tested on frends machine. Same Mobo different other settings. Ubcd version hangs to that 10sec at default settings. Usb version boots to the starting udev section and stops there. This setting has slightly different bios. I turned usb ports off from bios and booted from cd. no difference. Only failsafe booted all the way. But I didn't try used it.

Which version of Parted Magic did you try?
Try the last test version:
http://beefdrapes.partedmagic.com

Because the fail safe option works, it means that you need to add a cheatcode.
See my post at: http://forums.partedmagic.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=608 for more info.

Oh yes ! I downloaded that test version. Overwrited all files on pen drive and it worked. Minor error is that boot tries to run something that is missing.
