Hello, I'm using UBCD 5.0.2 and when it boots it freezes after printing to the screen "IDLE: Going resident FDAPM ADV:MAX"
Here is a picture of the boot messages.
From what I've Googled, this seems to be some kind of power saving measure. Is there some way to send a boot option to FreeDOS to not use power management?
Hardware:
CPU: Q6600
Motherboard: GA-X48-DQ6
Ram: 2x2GB Patriot DDR2-1066
Hard drives: A Raptor, and 4 western digital 2tb drives
Optical: Asus SATA DVD-RW
Thanks in advance.

When you boot the freedos image, don't press enter to boot the default entry. Choose one of the other options, and be sure to not install fdapm. Is there some way to send a boot option to FreeDOS to not use power management?

Thanks! Seems the default boot is quiet, which chooses all the preset defaults. I thought that menu was only related to memory management stuff, so I didn't connect it to power management.Icecube wrote:When you boot the freedos image, don't press enter to boot the default entry.
