Installing program from upgraded Windows 7

#1 Post by cbsimkins » Wed Sep 08, 2010 8:50 pm

I have a laptop that originally had Vista installed. I upgraded it to Windows 7 and tried another program which stalled out somewhere, no diagnostics. Anyway I want to know if anyone has experience with this configuration. BTW this is a 64 Bit machine. I will ultimately want to put the Boot on a USB but don't know about the size required etc. My other alternative is to copy the Vista and then the Windows 7 CDs to a USB just so I can Boot.

What program were you trying to install that caused a stall? There should be really no reason why the program would freeze or cause issues if the program is supported by windows 7 or your computer.
