Ultimate Boot CD

I am trying to get a few screenshots of the INSERT linux desktop with a few shot of different programs it has to offer. I tried the internet and Google but couldn't find anything on it.

I assume that when "x window snapshot" takes it photo, that it saves it into the RAM Disk somewhere. I can't seem to locate those files. Not knowing what format, extension, or where to look makes it hard to do. I have spent about 6 hours looking.

Do you have any idea what extension and what subdirectory I would need to locate them?

Strangly enough, xdw pipes it into xwud and back to the
screen. Not really sure how this would be usefull...

To get a snapshot into a file, do the following:

- Select Run from the Flux menu
- Launch the following:
xwd -out /home/insert/image.xwd

Now you'll just need a program that reads xwd files.

Thanks, I will try what you suggest. Gimp says it will read the files and i will drop a note here as to how well it works.
