Re: Creating a USB Boot
I've used Yumi for quite a few years and never had a problem with it. Not sure why you wouldn't be able to select "any" ISO.

Re: Creating a USB Boot
I've used Yumi for many years now with few issues, however, with UBCD the built-in Linux Distro does not work. You can have quite a few Linux Distros added to the flash drive so it's not usually an issue.

Re: Link for PenDrive Apps
The urls/links still work for me. I also keep up to date on many of these apps via https://www.portablefreeware.com But, as Icecube stated, these are meant to be run from within windows. Some Windows live CDs/DVDs have some of these PortableApps already included. See this link for more information -...

Re: Phantom boot record
Sounds like another Boot option was added. Try running msconfig and check the Boot tab. If you have 2 entries that points to that being the issue. With Windows 7 you will probably have to use bcdedit instead. Open an elevated command prompt and type bcdedit --> In the lower section see what it shows.

Re: Disk controller failure
A disk controller failure usually indicates that UBCD boot disk image that is being used doesn't have a driver for the interface controller which the HDD is connected to. You can try downloading the newest version from the manufacturer and use that. https://support.wdc.com/downloads.aspx?DL If that ...

Re: UBCD Flashing then crash
Give us a bit more. What is the manufacturer/model. BIOS or UEFI? Could be so many things like overheating, Ram, etc. Try disconnecting all drives and re-seating RAM and see if it will boot to the BIOS. Can you get into the setup/BIOS/UEFI screen?

What did you use to create the image?
Also, what are the PC specs? Is it BIOS or UEFI?

Re: MHDD.CFG Edit Not Possible VIA "edit" OR "notepad" in CLI
1. Is their a Seagate utility available to do this? I do prefer using a tool provided by the manufacturer if at all possible. 2. What are your system specs? 3. Encryption on any drive can be tricky as it's for security and doesn't always prove to be doable, in my experience. When you try to access t...

Keep safe everyone
With all the things going on right now, I hope everyone is keeping safe. I hope the world can take projects like this as an example and work together toward a final goal of helping others, many they have never even met. Re: How to edit registry/disable Automatic Restart on failure
Hard drives can be replaced but it could be other issues as well. With new PCs/Laptops having UEFI instead of older BIOS some diagnostic tool such as UBCD may not work. If you still have info/files on the drive you should try to get that first. If you can't get a Live/PE boot disk/USB to work you ca...

Re: How to edit registry/disable Automatic Restart on failure
The first thing I would do is get any files that are important off, if possible. Use a boot CD/DVD/USB such as https://www.ultimatebootcd.com/ubcdlive.html or any other Linux Live CD or PE (Preinstalled Environment) or even boot UBCD and select PartedMagic and try that. Next, check the drive using t...

Development on V4 ended some time ago and V5 has slowed over the last few years.
That being said, if you want to post updates/suggestions go for it. Just note what version is pertinent to the updates.

Re: A couple of seconds of scan my computer hangs
Are you booting UBCD, UBCD4Win or some other Live Environment or are you running these from your installed OS? What is your installed OS? What are your system specs (manufacturer/model)? What specific issue(s) are you having? A list of antivirus/antmalware boot CD/DVDs can be found here, just scroll...

Re: A tool to check
I generally run "chkdsk c: /f or /r" or if that doesn't seem to help I use Manufacturer's Diag tools to check the drive although, I do often just go straight for the Diag tools.

Re: Newbie Question. UB Next HD during boot etc
Check this out ---> https://www.supergrubdisk.org/super-grub2-disk/
A version is included in UBCD under HDD/Boot Management or you can download the newest version that recently came out.
You could also try PLoP, which I've also used in the past which will be in the same menu area.
