Clamav is part of Parted Magic but although I see an option to update Clamav's definitions in the start menu I cannot see a Clamav launcher?

Having had a nose around I see that Antivir is updatable from within interface, no doubt with a hard/wired connection. Unfortunately it'll hang at mounting system disk on my laptop & on my tower the display is a nauseating load of wiggly lines even when trying different res.

Updating Antivir Definitions
I always keep a copy of UBCD just in case, but have not kept up to date since version 4.x. Do Antivir definitions need updating to stay current? If so how do I go about such? I've also seen talk of Clamav but the program does not seem to be mentioned in the list on main UBCD web page.

Can anyone post the link for F-Prot definitions so as to download the latest fp-def.zip file and extract and put into dosapps/fprot directory?

Using the antivirus tools
Hi
The DOS scan takes a matter of seconds & scans 282 files, has it scanned my hard disk surely there are more files than that? Then again I am used to virus scanning within Windows.

- edit the custom.cfg file from there using notepad - run ubcd2iso without parameter so you see what the syntax is - now run it with the parameters you want to create your customized ISO :] Being a total newb I am unsure quite what to put under 'LABEL boot img' when editing with notepad? Can't open custom cfg. file so as to edit
Hi I am following the instructions so as to customize the UBCD but after extracting the downloadable iso to drive c I cannot open the custom.cfg file so as to add my bootable images. Do I create these images with Magic ISO? I have tried extracting the UBCD iso with 7 zip then added AVGs floppy files...
