COM test from boot disc
the free-dos versions don't seem to support MODE, i don't know how to configure the com port speed etc without that, and i don't see them listed in the config.sys. this stuf is all too old for me, it's decayed away. i've used the various linux versions which support a varying combination of dmesg | ...

need to test COM1
dos or linux, what's the easiest way to run a dumb terminal connection over COM1? the various DOS boots don't seem to install the device.

when booting this ulitmate CD to GRUB i'm presented with a fedora login or XP Administrator login. i can't find any info on default accounts. what's the root or admin pwd as configured here? thanks =G
