You don't need the GUI. Just select "console mode" from Parted Magic's boot menu and boot to the Linux command line. Then type "menu" and you should see TestDisk as one of the options. Not much different from booting up DOS and running TestDisk. ok victor, i have do this... gpar...

i use partition saving since a lot of years without troubles...

You have the linux version but no DOS version.

it is the comment i will wrote if i do not see similar comment here...

this linux bootcd does not works in GUI mode at home... i do not see the interest of including linux boot...
