Nope - I don' think I ever got invalid opcode messages - free dos (and anything else that uses ASPI) just freezes during the ASPI mgr load...

Does it hang during the ASPI manager load?

Instead of using the UBCD, I gust used the Norton Ghost (v2003.793) boot disk maker to make a USB 1.1 boot disk. So, I haven't gotten UBCD to work with this laptop - and I came here for help - I don't want ot be stuck usign the Ghost USB1.1 boot disk, I want to be able to fix this problem with UBCD ...

Any chance someone can change the UBCD2USB tool check for disk space before it nukes the USB drive? Most folks should know how much space you need, and there aren't too many small USB drives out there, but just in case.

I tried that - after UBCD v5 loads to the main menu I select plop - it starts to load but then quickly the whole screen turns ti alight gray background with flashing orange division characters. Does Plop work with x64 processors? Did I install Plop wrong? Any Ideas? Also, is it cool to make the code...

On a side note, I can get USB 1.1 drivers to load without the freeze, so I can make a backup to an external USB with Ghost - it is just real slow...
