Turns out that the previous owner did delete the partition with recovery but found the recovery disks.
Hoping to fix it up this coming week.

need help finding recovery partition in Dell Latitude 5500
I've got corrupt Vista OS with 0xc0000098 error This laptop was donated to my nonprofit so I do not have original disks. I have tried F12, F11, F8, etc.. but the option to access the recovery never shows - or - anything I try never gets past the Boot Manager error screen. There's nothing filewise I ...
