Yes, typo. I meant 3.5.

NTFS formatting utility for raw (unformatted) hard disks?

I have read through the forum postings @ http://forums.storagereview.net/index.php?showtopic=19414 and it sounds like you've resolved your problem. A points: If you run UBCD Full, with Insert, you can run Qtparted which is a Partition Magic clone; from there you can create/resize/ delete partitions,...

add ghost 2003

> Does this tutorial by Charles Appel help? > > http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/winboot.html I don't think it will: Ghost 2005 = Ghost 9. I do not believe Ghost 2003 uses the WinPE environment. At this time, we don't have sufficient information to produce Ghost documentation < 9.0. -- Charles

Adding .iso - files like acronis-partition-manager etc.

If it's a PE environment like Bart's PE, UBCD4WIN or Ghost 9, then yes. By popular demand I've created some ins...

Hi there!

You'll need to provide more information.

What did you try?
Does your computer have an SATA RAID or a SCSI controller?
Does your system have an NTFS partition?

Adding .iso - files like acronis-partition-manager etc.

> 1) Is it possible that some images in the ubcd-iso are > corrupted (and not bootable at all)? I'm not sure what you mean. Sure, it's possible. If you check the md5 of the download and it matches it is unlikely however. What images do you specifically think are corrupt? > 2) I have a PC-test-progra...

At this point I'd try another ISO extractor such as WinImage or UltraISO. In order to verify the integrity of your ISO, you should compare the md5sum with what's posted on the website. Go to http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/download.html and check out the MD5 column that matches the file you downloaded...

Adding .iso - files like acronis-partition-manager etc.

Acronis has a special way of creating their bootable CDs. Acronis products can be added to the UBCD, but I do not know of any way in Linux to extract the necessary information. If you can get your hands on a Windows system, install WinISO or UltraISO. Make an image (iso) of the Acronis product. Then...

Loading SCSI drivers for a custom menu app?

It's contained in one of the cab files so you would not see it when browsing the CD. If you select DOS/Linux Boot Disks, then select FreeDOS after the boot process, hit ESC. Then a...

Check your md5sum if you suspect the iso may
be corrupted.

Loading SCSI drivers for a custom menu app?

I'm not one of the guys that works with DOS, but I think the following will work: - Create a directory in DOSAPPS called scsimax - Copy the scsimax.exe to \dosapps\scsimax - Create a startup.bat file in \dosapps\scsimax with: call aspi.bat cd \dosapps\scsimax scsimax - Then in custom.scn, modify the...

Are you using the trial or registered version of WinISO?
The WinISO FAQ says the trial version cannot save an ISO
greater than 100MB. You might want to try UltraISO, which
I *think* is fully functioning for 30 days.

IS UBCD RIGHT FOR ME?

I can't help specifically with your booting problem now; (and may not be able to at all), but let's start with a little background information to see what you're working with: How many physical disk drives are installed in the computer? Do you have access to a USB drive, USB pen-drive, or a network?...

Customizing 3.2

Uriel: Thanks for your comments. I might look for a bootable floppy with captive, but considering it doesn't work with W2K3 server and would have limited device support, probably won't put too much effort into it. As far as the next release, I can't yet say. It looks like I'll be collaborating with ...

Within Linux, here is the mkisofs command I use: From the root of the UBCD extracted directory: mkisofs -N -J -r -o -vv -V "UBCD 3.2" -o ../ubcd.iso -b boot/loader.bin \ -no-emul-boot -boot-load-size 4 . Ignore the "Warning: creating filesystem that does not conform to ISO-9660."...
