Trying to restore to factory default.

#1 Post by Advice Pro » Tue Jun 03, 2014 11:18 am

I am trying to restore my Windows 7 64-bit PC to factory default and I keep getting the following message:

Code: Select all

The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot complete. To install Windows, click "0K" to restart the computer, and then restart the installation.

Have you scanned your drive for errors prior to factory restore? I would try this first on both partitions of the drive then try again.
