Add nomodeset to UBCD 5.3.6

Hi, I'm using ubcd 5.3.6 on an HP pavillion laptop and I red (and I'm experiencing) about issue with screen backlight; with ubcd 5.3.6 the screen remains black after the menu choose (I'm interested in data recovery)
How can I add nomodeset kernel params to my UBCD iso? I'm using unebootin to have a bootable usb drive

When you press the [TAB] key at the menu item, you should be able to edit the boot parameters.

All the UBCD config files are in text. You can always find the target config file and edit it in your custom version of UBCD.

If you using UBCD on a USB drive, you can even edit it on the spot without having to remaster the entire ISO file.

Ok, now I'm using the blank/white issue fix menu item already in place.
I saw files you are talking about but I'm asking help because I'm not so good with GRUB

I am assuming you are adding "nomodeset" to the Parted Magic bootup menu? In that case, try looking at "pmagic\boot\syslinux\syslinux.cfg".
