Boot UBCD on laptop with UEFI and NO legacy boot option

#1 Post by backfromexile » Wed Apr 03, 2019 8:50 am

Hello,

I am the lucky guy with an Acer laptop equipped with an Intel N4200 CPU. Sadly there's no legacy boot for Apollo Lake CPUs (such as this one) and thus I cannot boot UBCD at all.
Is there any option to be able to boot UBCD on an UEFI BIOS without legacy boot?

Thanks for the help in advance!

I already used Rufus (and UBCDs own ISO2USB) to create the bootable USB drive but did not check this option.
However I tried this and I still only have the option to boot into Windows :/

Even with systems having "Legacy" support, booting UBCD is spotty at best and many of the tools included didn't work for me even if I did get it to boot to the menu.

So, what is it your trying to do?

Considering that almost all the tools included in UBCD (version 5.3.8. ) depend on using BIOS (or CSM aka "legacy mode"), not UEFI, there is not much to do after booting UBCD in UEFI mode anyway.
