Hello togehther,
it seems that my hard-drive from hitachi has a bad block.
in order to make an rma i had to run the DFT-tool from hitrachi.
My PC doesnt have a cd-rom or floppy drive.
is there a possibility (perhaps with the software UNetbootin) to put UBCD or the hitachi DFT-Tool (http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/support/d ... 16_b00.iso) directly on an usb stick and boot from it?
Thanks for your help
Thomas

DFT is already included UBCD.
Check out this page "Making UBCD memory stick" to find out how to transfer UBCD to your memory stick.
