poweroff shutdown menu command

Please add a poweroff/shutdown command to the main menu or submenu.

It is somewhat inconvenient and very obscure now, to have to research FreeDOS to learn to use the poweroff command to simply shut a computer off!

Why does anyone need to turn their computer off this way? Maybe the power switch is unreliable/malfunctioning. Maybe software is a more gentle way of shutting down than hardware. The average user in this situation would have to start up Partition Magic or Windows from the hard drive just to be able to shut down!

If it doesn't seem worth adding poweroff as a main menu choice, the RESTART entry could be changed to restart/poweroff/shutdown submenu?

Thank you.

My opinion happens to be exactly the opposite. The poweroff option in the main boot menu only makes sense when using PXE or similar. Moreover, there is still no such option available in the newest official Syslinux archive (which is not included in UBCD for several reasons).

Having the reboot option available is not a "must" either, but it helps in some situations (among others, for testing, for example,).

If you want the poweroff option, simply customize UBCD.
