spybot problem - "The source file is corrupted" er

I am have a stream of error messages relating to spybot files in the "Extracting File " phase of the set up.
The errors read "An error occurred while trying to read the source file: The source file is corrupted". there are a whole lot of files eg srpski.license.txt.
The error is NOT limited to txt files.
Has anyone else had this problem? Could anti-virus or Antispyware software be causing this?
