trying to run the DOS utility smartdrv from CD after booting

#1 Post by Albretch » Sun Jul 20, 2008 7:36 am

~
I have found countless pages online like this one:
~
http://www.hiren.info/pages/bootcd
~
Telling me smartdrv is in there, but I can't find it either via command prompt:
~
[T:\, Q:\, Q:\, B:\, . . .] \dir smart*.* /s
~
or using the mid night commander/file browser that comes with the boot cd
~
Where is it?
~
Thanks

Firstly, when using UBCD/freedos, smartdrv need not be loaded (all caching is handled automatically via lbacache).

Secondly, this forum has nothing whatsoever to do with "Hiren's CD", nor does it support activities in promoting software piracy and the illegal distribution of commercial software (which is exactly what this said CD provides).
