Hi,

OK Basically my computer won't boot up, infact it keeps restarting itself, and if automatic restart is disabled i get a blue screen with stop error 0x024.

So I have researched as much as I can and found that my best solution is to run CHKDISK /r. However this requires the Windows CD which i do not have, therefore can UBD do what I require?

I have got UBD running but i'm a complete novice and unsure on what option to select.

I do not want to lose any data, can I run this CHKDISK to repair files using UBD?

I really hope this is possible, what option should i select in the UBD menus.

Thankyou for your help.

I think this will help you. Just burn it to a cd and boot from it. http://www.thecomputerparamedic.com/files/rc.iso
