SATA drivers and NTFS ?

#1 Post by VK » Thu Mar 05, 2009 8:21 pm

I'm desperately trying to save my Windows partition.
The first problem is that UBCD 4.11 apparently does not support sata-drivers.
The second: NTFSDOS won't recognize my drive, even if it's booted in compatibility mode in BIOS. (I tried NTFSDOS4, now owned by Avira, but it looks like my chipset is not supported by it).

I have Lenovo X61s, which is one of the few laptops out there with the official Linux support. X61s is using Intels ICH8 chipset.

Does UBCD support any sata-controllers at all ?
How can I integrate Intels sata drivers into UBCD, or is there any native support for those in Linux ?
