please. help. Cannot run files from my drive

Hi,
I've been battling this for over a week; checked FAQ's, tutorials, etc., but to no (or, very little) avail.
I run UBCD but I cannot see my hard drive. I've enabled NTFS support (running XP) and I can then see my C: drive, but I cannot run the program that I am trying to run (spinrite). I've been able to do this on another computer, but not this one.
Anyone have any suggestions? Please.
