UBCD installed a permanent virtuall Floppy drive.

#1 Post by Panse » Tue Mar 23, 2010 1:11 am

Hi,

yesterday i tried to run DBAN from the UBCD. I forget to unplug my sysetm disk while DBAN was running but luckily it didn't work so i kept all my data.
When i made a restart Win7 did some kind of recovery and then it run without problems except that it permanently shows a floppy drive. I tried to uninstall the drivers in the device manager but after every restart it keeps showing up.

Can you tell me how this is possible and how i can get rid of this virtual floppy drive?

Thank you.

Try this: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/23668 ... drom-drive

Should work equally well with floppy drives. Let me know if it does.
