Ultimate Boot CD

Hi, I'd like to add some changes to the insert part of the UBCD, like update the captive-ntfs (or update to a 2.6 kernel, which may have native ntfs support), and install firefox so it doesn't need to be downloaded. I could probably do all that inside the started linux environment, but how do I save those changes so I can create my own version of insert? Does anyone know of easy to understand "How-To's"?
