If you have a tutorial or tip related to the UBCD, why not share it with other users here?

ubcd usb stick from linux

#1 Post by flyingsilverfin » Thu Jun 18, 2009 4:35 pm

i would like to install ubcd onto my 2gb memory stick. i only run ubuntu 9.04 (linux), and know my way around the terminal a bit. i also would like to do this manually (so a .bat file doesn't do it for me cuz i want to learn and maybe use the same procedure later for other things).

thx

Download UBCD50b12.
It contains instructions in the /ubcd/tools/linux/ubcd2usb/ folder of the iso.

Don't use syslinux from Ubuntu, it is too old.
Download Ultimate Boot CD v5.0: http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/download.html
Use Parted Magic for handling all partitioning task: http://partedmagic.com/
