See the homepage for the tools included in UBCD. Click on the links to see more info about the tool.

Or try UBCD50b12. It gives a short description of the tool when you select a program in the menu itself.

Hi,
I downloaded the Ultimate Boot CD, and can't figure out how to use it. I want to learn how to use it in case I need it for clients down the road.
I tried to boot an old Win 98 laptop from it (the BIOS was set to boot from the CD Rom drive first), but that didn't do anything.
I stuck it in my newer laptop while the computer was on. I clicked on the program and it directed me to extract the file. I extracted it to my desktop so I could find it. Now I have this "ubcd24.iso" file on my desktop that doesn't look like it will open. I tried, as a long shot, to open it in Word, but to no avail.
What am I doing wrong? Am I missing the point of this CD. How do I get it to work?
Thanks.

You said you tried to boot to the CD... Then you say that the ISO was extracted from the program.

I'm thinking you downloaded the selfextracting EXE file and burned that to CD. What you want to do is burn that ISO as an image to the CD, not as a file. You should then see a directory structure on the CD instead of a single file. You can use whatever burning program you use to burn the image or use something like ImageBurn -> http://www.imgburn.com/

As far as using the tools/programs on the CD, many are self explanatory and other are not, I suggest reading up on the tools before using them as some can cause data loss if used incorrectly or without caution.

Good luck and post back if you have further issues.
