doesn't boot ...

#1 Post by lee » Fri Jul 03, 2009 9:16 pm

Ok, I followed the instructions in ubcd/tools/linux/ubcd2usb/readme.txt, but the USB stick doesn't seem to be bootable.

The stick appears in the BIOS as USB-HDD0 and I can tell it to boot from it, but when it comes to booting, it acts same way it does when no boot device is available.

What could be the problem?

Do you see the string "Syslinux" or not?
Did you run the syslinux installer with root permissions?

Can you try again?
