how do I RUN:CHKDSK/R from UBCD? I am trying to get past TDI.SYS after a brown out.
I saw a post on another forum that said they ran CHKDSK/R from UBCD and it fixed the problem.

UBCD doesn't contain windows copyright programs such as chkdsk. You may be thinking about UBCD4WINDOWS which requires a windows disc to work and contains windows software and programs such as chkdsk.

You can use knoppix http://www.knopper.net/knoppix/index-en.html tho, which is a free linux live cd (boots from cd/dvd drive) if you dont have a windows disc, and run the command fixntfs (from terminal) which does the same as chkdsk.

Just a comment for general information for FAT (probably NOT specifically suited to the OP).

PartedMagic (included in UBCD) includes dosfstools:

The Freedos resources include tools for FAT, the older port of "fsck" and "chkdsk" (with the same name as the MS tool) :

As a general rule, if you have the original MS tools for its file sytems, you should use those MS tools.

In those cases where you don't have the MS tools:
To be clear, if you do NOT use FAT ( but NTFS, in most current cases of Windows users), please find a better-suited tool (as suggested in a previous post) than those I just mentioned in this post.
