usb external drive ghost ubcd hd image on dvd

#1 Post by hubb_99 » Tue Oct 24, 2006 10:26 am

i would like to create a DVD that has an xp image on it with ubcd. in addition of adding a version of ghost (probably pre9.0 from what i've read). i would also like the ability to run chkdsk for ntfs (all of my disks are ntfs). my questions are:
do i need to include some usb and dvd drivers? and where do i put those? do i need to change any commnands anywhere for them to work?

am i correct to assume that ghost will run on top of freedos?

is there a chkdsk for ntfs built in on the ubcd or do i need to add one of those too.

You can chkdsk an NTFS volume by launching NTFS4DOS.

[F3] Filesystem Tools
Right-arrow key to move to [Filesystem Tools 2/2]
Launch "NTFS4DOS *Freeware"

i found this thread via google... i also need to run chkdsk on an ntfs partition so i downloaded the UBC basic edition and booted it... then i keep trying to run NTFS4DOS, it goes to a blank screen with a blinking cursor and never does anything.

any ideas?
