Ultimate boot cd not booting

I've got an old computer with a damaged floppy drive so Ultimate Boot Cd is my last resort because my current win95 installation is broken.

I burned version 5.3.7 (which fits in a cd) changed the boot order in my bios, but then the booting process just hangs forever, if i remove the cd then windows boots (but then ends up freezing cause its broken).

Interesting thing is i also burned a win98 cd which gives me the win98 preliminary boot menu to choose boot from floppy or from cd, but then choosing cd also ends in a blank screen and never boots up.

In a bit desperate now as I cant manage to fix my win98 without a floppy drive.

I guess you're not on this forum anymore but did you find a way around?
I'm stuck with the same problem and kinda desperate too tbh.
