PTS DISKEDITOR sees Question marks

Computer cannot see MBR SECTOR after I have completely wiped out several times the harddrive. Cannot get it to load Win XP.
Used PTS DISKEDITOR and it shows question marks when I select view for any information I select to look at. Please advisel.....

Used Disk Editor and it gave an error message that "mcb corrupted" System halted. Tried it again and screen came up with just cursor flashing on top of screen. Any help...
