Help! I went to start up my computer last night and I got a BSoD with the code STOP 0x00000024. So I attempted to re-start in safe mode so that I could access my desktop and diagnose the problem. I did the F8 start and my system was hanging on agp440.sys. I have seen that problem before and it went away on its own somehow. No matter what I do I cannot run anything in safe mode nor can I get to the desktop by using the "last known good configuration." Is this something that can be fixed with the boot cd?
Thanks.

You probably need the recovery console disk and run:
Code: Select all
chkdsk drive: /f

Download Ultimate Boot CD v5.0: http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/download.html
