Hello,
I used the ' Western Digital Lifeguard' program from the UBCD 3 to clone the existing drive to a new drive making the new drive the master (bootable) drive. The new drive booted as far as the 'WindowsXP Pro screen, then hung.
Can anyone help please.

hmmm, I think you will need to remove all your partitions into 1 whole one and have that as a fat32 or NTFS. then try installing win XP. that is what i would do.

Master IDE drive and bootable are different things. I usually use HD Clone (on the CD) when Norton Ghost 03 (not on the CD) doesn't work.
