Ultimate Boot CD

I have used several utilites in UBCD to erase the harddrive. Then installed Win XP Pro. When it boots up it still says "verifying data pool". I have tried using Disk manager, Disk Wizard etc.. Cannot find a utility to work because it says that the masterboot record not found. Different utilities can see the harddrive but other utilities will not allow to install a masterboot record.
After a few installs and erasing the harddrive now Win xp does not see the harddrive. Any help....

Low level formatting ? :hmm:

Can someone tell me which low level editing tool I should use in Ultimate Boot CD. I believe I have used them all. And still cannot make it work. Please advise....
