Ultimate Boot CD

Im a beginner and it was my first time I encounter the word "ubcd", and our instructor told us to make a "ultimate boot cd". I've seen the tools of a ubcd, but i dont have any idea in creating ubcd and put it in a blank cd as a bootable. Pls help me on my problem...Please..

Just extract the 7z or exe file so you get an ISO file, and burn it as an image.
If you're unsure of how to do it, use IMGBurn, it won't let you do it the bad way.

I am using ROXIO, under file/new it has create a bootable CD, it adds BOOTCAT.BIN and BOOTIMG.BIN, then I add ubcd411.iso, it this the correct sequence of events??

It's not correct.
The ISO file is already bootable but itself ; as I said you should burn it as an image, not try anything else.

still using ROXIO, under file, it has record CD from CD image. I selected tha and followed thru with the selection of the iso file from my C: drive. On the cd I see folders/boot/custom/dosapps/images/isolinux/menus/syslinux/tools/website/autorun.inf/boot.catalog/ubcd.ico.
The lap top is a dell lattatude d820, I get lso linex 3.35 2007-01-28 copyright(C) 1994-2007 H.Peter Anvin, next line: could not find kernal image: Linux, next line: Boot:
what am I missing??

“ubcd.ico” is just an icon. What you need is “ubcdxxx.iso” where “xxx” stands for version, latest one is “ubcd411.iso”. You probably downloaded ZIP or EXE file, which must be extracted resulting in an ISO file (ubcd411.iso), size must be approximately 115MB. I hope you can find it on your hard disk.
I’m using Roxio Creator Basic v9 en just double-click on “ubcd411.iso” in my folder where I saved it. Roxio starts automatically and with another click you can start burning image of Ultimate Boot CD (ubcd411.iso) on the CD.
Otherwise, from Roxio: file/new/copy/burn an image, you must select the location of your “ubcd411.iso” and there you go.

I downloaded ubcd 3.1.1 but it doesn't give any iso when executed however its a setup which has ubcdbuilder.exe can anybody help

Well i got ubcd4.1.1 it has iso but then whats 3.1.1 builder and all it asks for windows cd or windows folder etc. for building

UBCD 4.1.1 is the DOS version that you want I believe. It should be an ISO.

The UBCD4Win is currently at version 3.1.1 and is a Windows PE environment that must be built using your XP source files.

Not sure why it's not booting your laptop.. Do you have any other systems that you can test it in?
