Hard drive "not found" when running diagnostic too

Hi, I am brand new to running the ultimate boot CD, and when I run the diagnostic tools, it says the hard drive is "not found" when I run the western digital tools, as well as one other tool. I am lost as to what I am doing wrong. I actually set my computer to boot off the HDD third, after checking both CD rom drives for bootable material, as I was having trouble getting the CD to boot, any idea what may be up?
