USB Flash Drive Boot on Dell d520

Hello All,
I made the usb key and all seemed to go well, but if change my boot order to USB first I get a "boot Error" then halts. I will read and play more with this, but I thought I would ask.
I looked at the USB drive and it looks just like the cd. Same dir structure
