Hello,
this is the tip to install UBCD on hardisk ( IDE, USB ) :
- decompress the UBCD iso file with 7zip
- create a FAT32 primary partition with your favorite partition tool manager
- download syslinux software:
http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/boot/syslinux/
- decompress the syslinux archive, and copy the file "syslinux.exe" from the "win32" directory to your work directory
- open a command line from your work directory and type:
"syslinux.exe -maf X:" where "X:" is the letter of your boot partition for UBCD
- copy all files from the "syslinux" directory ( except the "ldlinux.sys" file) of your UBCD files to the root of the boot partition
- copy all files and directories of UBCD to the boot partition
that's all
your hard disk ( USB, IDE ) should now boot exactly like a standard UBCD
but there is a bug on some notebooks and motherboards: freedos can hang at startup :/
"memdisk" is probably guilty, this module can have problem to launch Freedos/MSDOS on some laptop/notebook
