Ultimate Boot CD

hi there all

I have an old AMD Ahtlon 1000 ghz cpu on an Asus a7m266 mobo and I do mean old. I built this back in 2001.

I was wondering if the ubcd will work with my machine.

I didnt have any trouble burning the iso image to the cd but I still couldnt get it to boot so I was wondering if it was something with my hardware instead

I have a similar era MSI board with an Athlon 1.33GHz and it works fine. Does the system try to boot? Is the CD/DVD drive set as first boot device? If it is, do other boot disks work such as Linux boot discs?

Give a bit more info. - How did you burn the ISO to disc? As a file or image?

i did reset the bios boot

thing is i have two drives one is a cd burner the other is a dvd rom, i switching between the two but no such luck

i think I burned it as an image not as a file, I used the two programs that were recommended on the download page

both drives do boot from other disks, i was able to get it to boot from my windows xp cd and my mandrake linux cd just fine

i probably burned it wrong

As it boots, does it pop up the message to "press enter to boot" or anything else? Does it do anything?

i just got it to work! i probably did something stupid somewhere
