How long it takes to "secure erase" an SSD using UBCD?

I'am trying to "secure erase" my 250GB SATAIII solid state drive using the CMRR HDDErase version 4.0 in UBCD in order to wipe it out clean and then install Windows in it.
The SSD currently has Ubuntu 16.04 32bit in it.
The issue is the process has been running for more than 12 hours now and all I get on screen is
"P0 is none"
"P1 is none"
...and I don't dare to stop it fearing the SSD may be bricked/locked or rendered useless.
I followed instructions for CMRR HDDErase here:
https://www.raymond.cc/blog/wipe-your-h ... ving-away/
The screenshot in that link looks similar to mine.
My MoBo is a Gigabyte-Z170XP-SLI with an i5 and 16Gb RAM
I see no blinking activity neither on the CD ROM nor the SSD
Should it really take this long to wipe out a 250gb SSD? What do you think is going on?
